Our History of Conservation
The Butler Chain of Lakes is one of the few clean water systems left in the Central Florida area. The chain' popularity puts responsibility on local residents to protect these unique natural resources. Since 1971 the BCCA has worked to promote and encourage conservation of our West Orange environment and water resources. Members have always taken an active role monitoring development and activities that might adversely alter the water quality. Meetings and forums have been sponsored by the organization to educate the community about issues concerning the lakes.

The task of conserving our natural resources is endless. Development is inevitable, however it can be done without destroying nature's delicate balance. Careful, knowledgeable planning is necessary in order to protect our environment. Please join our cause and stay informed so that together we can speak out strongly against careless development and other actions which may damage the lakes.
